Podcasts I Listen To

Podcast-iconI used to make blog posts about podcasts I listen to, and I decided to finally make a page with the list of them. This will allow people (and me) to have a more permanent reference to what I listen to.

Here they are in alphabetical order:

  • Beneath Ceaseless Skies
    • Short fiction podcast. Usually science fiction or fantasy.
  • Beyond the Trope
    • Podcast about writing, the writer’s life, food for thought, and general merriment.
  • Cast of Wonders
    • A short story podcast featuring young adult stories in a wide range of genres.
  • Clarkesworld Magazine
    • Short fiction podcast. Some longer episodes. Usually science fiction.
  • Clockwise
    • 4 people, 4 tech topics, 30 minutes.
  • The CriTiki Party
    • This podcast comes to you from various exotic locations around the world with adult beverages, a short bit of prose, and an in-depth critique of the prose. This is a great podcast to learn from.
  • Escape Pod
    • Short science fiction stories.
  • Far Fetched Fables
    • Short fiction podcast.
  • The Functional Nerds
    • Interview/Talk podcast revolving around creative types. Authors, musicians, editors, etc.
  • GnomeCast
    • There isn’t a page or site dedicated to the GnomeCast, so I linked to the iTunes feed.
    • These are short podcasts where the Gnomes of Gnome Stew talk about recent articles and dive a little more in depth.
  • I Should Be Writing
    • Podcast packed full of writerly advice from Mur Lafferty. (Clean Rating)
  • Lightspeed Magazine
    • Short science fiction stories.
  • Misdirected Mark
    • A podcast about gaming (primarily role-playing games) and gamemastering.
  • Nightmare Magazine
    • Short horror stories.
  • NPC Cast
    • A top-notch podcast about role-playing games, card games, board games, and tabletop gaming in general.
  • Odyssey SF/F Writing Workshop
    • This podcast produces rare, short, but extremely valuable recordings of their classes.
  • PodCastle
    • Short fantasy stories.
  • PseudoPod
    • Short horror stories.
  • The Roundtable Podcast
    • Two parts: 20 minutes with…. is an introduction and interview with an author. The other part is a brainstorming/feedback session with the author, host, co-host, and a guest writer. There are also the rare panels.
  • Writing Excuses
    • Short podcasts about focused topics that are packed full of writerly advice from at least four (sometimes a guest is on) experienced authors.
